When to launch

Two paths: (1) Get free review units from brands — no direct income but you can keep/sell the unit. (2) Charge brands $2-8k per sponsored review. Most successful niche sites do 80% editorial, 20% sponsored, with massive disclosure.

A How to start in 30 days

1
Get a media kit together — 1-page PDF: site traffic, audience demographics, social following, past coverage. Email to PR contacts at NVIDIA, AMD, ASUS, Corsair, NZXT, MSI, Gigabyte, Cooler Master, be quiet!, Logitech, Razer.
2
Set up a press email[email protected]. Free on Zoho. Brands look for this.
3
Apply to NVIDIA / AMD / Intel Influencer programs — These are tier 1. Lower tier = easier to get in. Be persistent, follow up monthly.
4
Negotiate the first deal — Start at $2k for a single-post review, $4-6k for a review + YouTube video, $8-12k for a launch package (article + video + social).
5
Disclosure + ad-comparable labeling — Sponsored reviews MUST be labeled. 'SPONSORED' or 'PARTNERSHIP' at the top. Use the FTC-cleared language. Never hide it.

E Pros and cons

// Pros

  • Free hardware (you can keep it or sell it)
  • $2-8k per sponsored post is real money
  • Builds relationships with PR teams (more deals later)
  • Sometimes includes paid media budget too

// Cons

  • FTC disclosure required (kills some trust if not done well)
  • Some readers will skip sponsored posts
  • Pressure to give positive reviews
  • Income is lumpy (one big check vs steady)
// Is this for you?
